WHO

I was born and spent my formative years in the Land of Lincoln - Illinois. In 1987, my wife and I moved Denver where I attended the University of Denver College of Law. I obtained my Juris Doctorate degree and became licensed to practice law in Colorado and Illinois.

While in law school, I focused on family law. I was a member of the university's law clinic and helped low income clients with their family law cases. I was an associate editor of the American Bar Association's Family Law Quarterly, and completed the domestic relations classes offered. After law school, I first worked with a small practice litigator, and then with a larger law firm in downtown Denver. During those years, I was involved in several areas of law, including commercial litigation, employment law, and banking law. Not too long after, I returned to representing individuals, and during the last fifteen years my law practice has rather narrowly focused on divorce and family law related matters. In such cases, I have represented clients at every stage of a case, from the initial interview through the conclusion of an appeal.

I reside in the Denver area with my wife, two children, and exuberant German Shepherd. Most of my free time is spent attending the sports activities of my two children, or actively participating with them. This is the year for the Cubs.
